Bundesliga star Kevin De Bruyne is one of three top signings that include Paul Pogba and Raheem Sterling on Manchester City’s list of summer targets.
The 24-year-old midfielder had a standout season with Wolfsburg equalling the Bundesliga record for assists previously held by Bosnian international Zvjezdan Misimovic.
Wolfsburg is desperate to keep hold of one of their brightest stars and will apparently meet with the player’s agent today to discuss new term.
In the past the Belgium international has said that he owes Wolfsburg after they rescued him from his nightmare at Chelsea, but with Manchester City said to be preparing a £50 million bid, and a very lucrative package to move to the Etihad, it is hard to imagine the Bundesliga side being able to offer what City can offer, so it really is a question of whether or not De Bruyne shows his loyalty or not.
Given the nature of football and greedy agents we here at Soccer Transfers expect to see the Bundesliga star in the Premiership next season.
