With all the news linking Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard with a mega move to Real Madrid, Manchester City has now entered the fray with the Sunday Mirror quoting the Sun as saying that City is prepared to battle the Spanish giants for Hazards signature.

New Real Madrid trainer Zinedine Zidane in known to be a huge admirer of the 24-year-old Belgium international, but with Pep Guardiola ready to take over the reins at the Etihad next summer a £80 million bid for Hazard would certainly put the cat among the pigeons.

Meanwhile City will hope that Hazard’s Belgium international teammates Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne can help pursued the midfielder to choose the soggy North West over the sunny Spanish capital.
