Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is determined to beat Jose Mourinho in signing Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, and is willing to offer the Italian champions Yaya Toure as part of a £71 million deal according to the Guardian.

Manchester City is going to have a major overhaul this summer and has decided to build their new team around the 22-year-old French international.

So important is Pogba to their future plans they will let the Old Lady have their pick of Samir Nasri, Stevan Jovetic, Aleksandar Kolarov and Edin Dzeko in order to get Pogba to the Etihad this summer.

After a season of disappointment for the Citizens Pellegrini knows that if Chelsea adds Pogba to their current team he will have a battle on his hands to win the Premiership next season, so will do all he can to stop Pogba moving to Stamford Bridge.
