Man United to hijack Arsenal move for Villarreal defender

According to reports coming out of Italy Manchester United have made a late bid in an attempt to hijack Arsenal target Gabriel Paulista.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed earlier today at his press conference that they were in talks with Villarreal for the Brazilian, and that he did not think obtaining a work permit would be a problem.

Wenger has identified the 24-year-old as the man he wants to bolster the Gunners defence especially after the news that Mathieu Debuchy could be out for three months.

Tuttomercatoweb is claiming that Manchester United has now come in with a late bid to sign Paulista ahead of rivals Arsenal as their manager Louis van Gaal looks to strengthen his defensive options at Old Trafford.
