Manchester United could be ready by as early as next week to announce the signing of Lazio attacking midfielder Filipe Anderson according to the Daily Star.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has convinced the board that United needs to bring in some new players in January in order to ensure a top four finish after what has been a disappointing start to the current season.
The fee for the 22-year-old Brazilian is believed to be around £35 million, which officials from Old Trafford are now in Italy negotiating.
If all goes well, Anderson could be Manchester United’s first signing during the January transfer window.
The Brazilian has made 17 Serie A appearances this season, scoring four times and providing two assists.
