Breaking news coming out of Argentina by local media outlet Ole suggests Manchester United has made a massive offer for Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi.
Ole note that while Valencia and Manchester United have agreed to an initial contract there are still a few things to be ironed out before the deal can come to fruition and Otamendi can be on his way to Old Trafford.
The Argentinian international plays his final game for Valencia this weekend against Almeria before flying to South America to take part in the Copa America, following which he will be free to link up with his new team.
No matter how much Manchester United had to pay to land the 27-year-old, manager Louis van Gaal knows he has got a quality player who is equally at home playing at either centre-back or at right-back, and that he will make a fine edition to the Red Devils squad for next season.
