Both Liverpool and Manchester United are looking to bring former Arsenal player Alex Song back to the Premiership for around £8 million.
The 26-year-old Barcelona midfielder is said to be interested in the idea after being told that Barcelona are thinking of selling him just two years after joining the Catalans from Arsenal.
Despite the fact that Barcelona paid £16 million to have him move from the Emirates to the Nou Camp the club is now prepared to cut their losses and let him leave for half that amount.
When speaking about leaving Spain just under a couple of months ago the Cameroonian told the Daily Mirror: “If I leave Barcelona it will be to return to the Premier League.
“I will return to England one day, that’s for sure.”
