VINCENT KOMPANY insists he has no plans to quit Manchester City — even if the European superpowers come calling.

The Etihad skipper also urged Samir Nasri to stay and help them launch another title tilt next season.

Kompany, who signed a six-year deal last summer, has been linked with Barcelona since he lifted the Premier League trophy last May.

But he said: “I have no reason to go elsewhere.

“I am happy here, I have five years left and if you knew the plans for this team for the future… I consider that to be a real objective.”

He added: “We are already preparing for next season and, if Samir can keep up this level of performance, we will really have an exceptional player.”
