Man City and Arsenal target wants to stay at Montpellier for another season

Both Premier League clubs are tracking Belhanda, who was recently named the Young Player of the Year in France.

City have looked at Belhanda as a possible alternative to Eden Hazard but the club are confident of signing the Lille star and see no room for Belhanda in their squad.

Arsenal, meanwhile, remain keen on the Morocco international and were said to be ready to make a move for him.

But with Montpellier on the verge of the Ligue 1 title and Champions League football, Belhanda says he wants to remain at the club.

The 22-year-old told L’Equipe: “I want to stay. Playing the Champions League with my club is something extraordinary.”
