Louis van Gaal to become Spurs manager

As Tottenham prepare to travel to fortress Anfield on Sunday to take on title chasing Liverpool current Spurs boss Tim Sherwood must now face the fact that he is going to have to find a new job.

Ruud Gullit has told BBC sports radio show Five Live that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has met with the Netherlands coach and claims that it is a “done deal” with the 62-year-old Dutchman taking over at White hart Lane following the World Cup.

Gullit said: “I know for sure he was at Van Gaal’s house, the chairman. I think it’s a done deal, but you never know.”

Meanwhile Sherwood will be hoping that Spurs can put a dent in Liverpool’s title aspirations when they play on Sunday afternoon.
