Sakho, Liverpool, PSG,

Liverpool had previously put in a bid of £8 million for Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho that was turned down by the French giants who value the young star at around £12 million.

Now according to reports in Metro the Reds are prepared to submit a second bid by this weekend that they hope the Parisians will accept for their unsettled centre-back.

Now more than ever following the injury to Kolo Toure during the Capital One Cup match against Nott’s County does Liverpool realize how vulnerable they are in that position.

Following the match with County that Liverpool won 4-2 in extra-time Rodgers admitted that the injury to Toure did not look good, but said Slovak international Martin Skrtel was back in training and would be ready to play against Manchester United on Sunday.
