It would regardless of what you hear coming out of Anfield that Liverpool have decided to no longer play games with forward Raheem Sterling this summer and are willing to let the 20-year-old join Manchester City for cash and Bosnian international striker Edin Dzeko according to Fichajes.net.

Dzeko was already expected to leave the Etihad this summer after manager Manuel Pellegrini decided it was time to offload some of the clubs older fringe players and start to rebuild with youngsters, and with City already making overtures to Liverpool about Sterling it would be the perfect opportunity for both clubs to get what they want.

At 29-years-old Dzeko is a proven goal-scorer with 66 goals to his credit while playing in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg and has added 50 goals at City despite finding himself spending more time on the bench than on the pitch.

Meanwhile Arsenal and Manchester United have also been liked with a move for the Liverpool speedster, but Manchester City would be the obvious choice as Liverpool would still get a large amount of cash plus a top striker that would mean them not having to pay over £30 million for Benteke or Benzema.
