After already reportedly agreeing terms with Croatian international midfielder Mateo Kovacic, Liverpool must now convince Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini to let the 21-year-old leave the San Siro this summer.

According to Gazetta dello Sport Liverpool is prepared to offer the Serie A club Italian striker Fabio Borini and cash in order to get Kovacic to move to Anfield.

Alternatively they could offer defensive midfielder Lucas Leiva knowing that Mancini is a fan of the Brazilian.

Whatever the outcome is it appears as if Liverpool have got their man, and now it is just a question of ironing out the details.
