Liverpool look set to be part of a three-horse race for Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri with now both Juventus and Inter Milan said to be interested in the Swiss international.

Blessed with an array of midfield talent, the Germans are thought to be willing to let the 23-year-old leave for around 15€ million which seems like an absolute steal given his age and talent.

Inter Milan is also looking at Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski and Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah as other possibilities along with another name that has been linked to Liverpool , wide man Ezequiel Lavezzi of Paris Saint-Germain.

For their part Italian champions Juventus are also looking at Galatasaray Dutch international Wesley Sneijder as possible January target.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers talked down any moves this transfer window, and should Liverpool go to the market their priority will surely be for a goal keeper and possibly a defender.

The truth however is that whoever does sign Shaqiri in the end is getting a very talented player who has a point to prove.
