Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic will be sold by Stoke City this summer after the Potters have decided to make England U-21 international Jack Butland their No.1 goalkeeper.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes believes it is time the 22-year-old takes over at the Britannia Stadium, and with Bosnian international Begovic not happy to be the clubs number two, he will be sold on this summer with both Manchester United and Liverpool looking for a new shot stopper.

At only 27-years-old Begovic still feels he has plenty to offer and does not want to be signed as a backup keeper at Chelsea which leads us to believe he will join Liverpool and force Simon Mignolet into the No.2 spot.

Meanwhile Manchester United is still waiting on a decision from David De Gea, and have already agreed that they will go after Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris should the Spaniard decide to return to Madrid.

Begovic is likely to have a price tag of around £8 million and would relish a move to Anfield where we are certain manager Brendan Rodgers will make him the Reds No.1.
