Liverpool are preparing to battle Merseyside rivals Everton for the signature of French Ligue 1 striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The Lyon forward is being heavily linked with a summer move to the English Premiership, after telling the French press he would struggle to turn down an offer from England’s top-flight.
So far this season the 22-year-old has scored 16 goals in 27 appearances for Lyon and is expected to be named to Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the European Championships.
As things stand at the moment it is looking very much as though Everton striker Romelu Lukaku will be on the move, as will be his international teammate Christian Benteke from Liverpool , leaving both Roberto Martinez and Jürgen Klopp to sign a new striker.
And according to the Daily Mirror both managers have the £22 million rated Lacazette top of their wish lists.
