Liverpool has entered the race for Arsenal summer target Roberto Firmino who currently plays in the German Bundesliga for Hoffenheim.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is currently considered to be one of Europe’s hottest talents, and will certainly have Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hot under the collar after German newspaper Bild reports that Liverpool is now interested in the Brazilian as they look for another player similar to Philippe Coutinho.

Wenger meanwhile had the playmaker earmarked as a replacement for Santi Cazorla should the rumours prove true that the Spanish international was looking to move back home during the summer and sign for Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid.

As for Liverpool he would certainly fit into Brendan Rodgers philosophy and on paper at least seems a perfect fit at Anfield.

The trouble however may come down to Hoffenheim’s value of their star player, which is believed to be around 30€ million.
