Liverpool made some good transfer moves in the summer, with one of them being £7 million to Celta Vigo for Spanish striker Iago Aspas who despite good preseason form has not delivered the good while playing for the Reds first team in the league.

Currently the Spaniard is side-lined with a thigh injury, but realizes that with Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez fit he will find it hard to be anything but a substitute in the current Reds team.

Eager to play first time football Aspas may look for a loan move come January, and with Spanish La Liga side Valencia keen on securing the 26-year-olds services until the summer it will all depend on whether or not Brendan Rodgers would consider letting him go.

My guess is that unless Rodgers has plans to buy another striker in January Aspas will not be allowed to leave while Liverpool’s other striker Fabio Borini is already away on loan with Sunderland, and should either Sturridge or Suarez get injured Rodgers needs a replacement in the squad.

Aspas managed to net four goals in la Liga for Celta Vigo last season during 33 appearances and was the clubs hero scoring a goal that allowed them to avoid relegation by a single point.
