Sakho, PSG, Liverpool,

Reports coming out of France suggest that Paris Saint Germain defender Mamadou Sakho has joined Liverpool on a four-year deal for 19€ plus bonuses.

Le10 Sport are claiming that Liverpool’s 19€ million offer will be paid in two instalments, and that the French international will be on a salary of 100,000€ per-week.

Liverpool have beaten off competition for the 23-year-old from Italian clubs AC Milan and AS Roma both of whom wanted to sign the young defender.

The French born Sakho had concerns over his playing time in Paris after the club brought in Brazilian defender Marquinhos from Roma, and was worried that he would not get the exposure needed to be picked to play for the national team in next year’s World Cup.

So far this season Sakho had been on the bench with manager Laurent Blanc preferring to play Silva and Alex in his defence.
