After week of further negotiations Liverpool is now on the brink of signing Sevilla full-back Alberto Moreno after having finally agreed to up their last bid of £17 million to the £20 million the Spanish club were asking.

Despite all the talk of Liverpool saying they were prepared to walk away, manager Brendan Rodgers is mad keen to get the Spanish international to join Liverpool, with Spanish newspaper Marca and the U.K.’s METRO saying that Rodgers is now prepared to pay the extra £3 million Sevilla is asking for it would appear as if a deal is done.

Sevilla confirmed yesterday that they were still in contact with Liverpool, and the player himself has already told family and friends that he will be playing for Liverpool next season after the Merseyside club, and Sevilla have both invested so much time in getting a deal done for it all to fall apart now.
