Liverpool are ready to let one of their brightest talents go out on loan in January but want to acquire a replacement before letting him leave.

According to the Daily Mirror Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will allow teenager Raheem Sterling to go out on loan so that the 18-year-old can get regular football with either a Premiership or Championship club, but first must sign a replacement for the teenage winger.

One man being talked about as a possible candidate is Sporting Lisbon’s Diego Capel.

The Liverpool boss has decided that he prefers Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson to play behind striker Daniel Sturridge which means that this season the England U-21 star will get very little first team playing time despite starting for the senior squad 36 times last season.

A move away will guarantee the playing time that Sterling needs, with Rodgers hoping it will add to his talents.
