Liverpool owners to spend 72hrs at Anfield and want ANSWERS

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers head could be on the line after the clubs owners the Fenway Sports Group has decided to jet club chairman Tom Warner in from Boston to ask about Liverpool’s dismal season and last summer’s failure in the transfer market, which saw Rodgers spend £100 million on players who in the large part have failed to return the money that was invested in them.

Warner is going to go over the clubs transfer policy with a fine comb and is sure to demand that in the future someone will be held responsible for new signings and that players coming in cannot be decided by a collective decision where no one is to blame when it all goes wrong as was the case with Mario Balotelli.

Whether Rodgers survives next week’s grilling only time will tell, but with managers such as Carlo Ancelotti and Jürgen Klopp available the clubs Boston owners have plenty of options should they decide to let Rodgers go.
