Liverpool, Ilori, Sakho, Moses, Rodgers,

Liverpool are happy after the club completed deals yesterday that they had been working on all summer for Ilori, Sakho and Moses come to fruition.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers can be happy as he sees the Reds line up a few new players all signed with plenty of time to spare unlike some of the other clubs in the Premiership who struggled to complete last minute deals as was the case with Manchester United who failed to sign a creative midfielder, and went on to pay over the odds for Belgium Marouane Fellaini.

While at the Bill Shankly centenary Liverpool manager spoke about the news signings saying:

“The window this summer has been very productive. We did a lot of work early and haven’t tried to leave it all to this mad day which sees the whole of football go berserk.

“We’ve tried to be controlled and get the players in as early as we possibly could.

“We’ve certainly got more competition.

“As a manager you always want more, but we’re more than happy with the business we’ve done. We’ve added freshness to the group.

“What we were looking to bring in was hunger.

“We’ve done great business over the course of the summer, and I’m sure we’ll look to strengthen again in January and finish off the second part of the season like we did last season.”
