Reports coming out of Italy are suggesting that Liverpool have beaten AS Roma to the signing of Barcelona B winger Adama Traore.
Liverpool has been strongly linked with a move for the 19-year-old in recent days, with some news outlets reporting that he is set to fly into Anfield for a medical.
And while Liverpool is doing all they can to play down connections to the young Spaniard, football transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, says Traore is heading to Liverpool after accepting a move to the club over Roma, who had made a rival offer.
Traore fits with the Liverpool owner’s philosophy of buying and nurturing young talent, with Raheem Sterling a prime example of how players can pay off big in the transfer market just a few years down the road.
