According to reports in the Sun Liverpool is ready to take a massive gamble on Radamel Falcao despite being a witness to the horrid time he has had at Manchester United only scoring four goals since arriving from Monaco in the summer.

When he first moved to Old Trafford it was as a loan so that Monaco would not have to pay his massive £265,000 per-week salary with United having the option of signing him in the summer for £40 million.

News coming out of Old Trafford is that they do not want to keep him past their agreed time and that he will return to Monaco unless the Principality team can find a buyer elsewhere, with the British tabloid now claiming that Liverpool will take him on.

The Reds are in the market for a world-class striker and have been linked to Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, but should that not come off they are prepared to take a chance on the Colombian international.
