Italian publication Calicio Mercato Web is claiming today that Liverpool has entered negotiations for French international striker Jeremy Menez.
The 28-year-old Frenchman joined the Serie A giants from Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent last summer, and now the club could cash in by offering him to Liverpool for £10.5 million.
Last season Menez scored 16 goals in Serie A, and would represent a very canny buy for Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers leaving the Northern Irishman with plenty of cash left over following the sale of Raheem Sterling to Manchester City.
Here at Soccer transfers we like everything about this deal as Menez has proved himself at every level for France, and given Liverpool’s good relations following the transfer of Mario Balotelli last summer getting the Italian’s to sell should be an easy task.
