Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United

In what is not yet confirmed news the Daily Star is saying that Liverpool has managed to beat out both Arsenal and Manchester United by signing Chilean international Alexis Sanchez.

The news comes via Kop legend Phil Thompson who claims the Barcelona’s new manager Luis Enrique has allowed the 25-year-old striker to join Liverpool despite interest from other clubs which if you look behind the scenes could all be part of a bigger deal that will see Luis Suarez move to the Nou Camp.

Thompson said: “Just yesterday I heard things from people, newspaper guys who are very close to the ground at Liverpool, saying that the Sanchez deal was actually done.”

Currently Sanchez is in Brazil where he has helped Chile reach the last-16, meaning that any official news of the Liverpool deal will not be released until after the tournament is over.

Despite Barcelona not having the best of seasons last year Sanchez still managed to net the ball 21 times for the Catalan giants.
