There seems no end to Liverpool’s ambition to make a big splash in next seasons Champions League as Brendan Rodgers rapidly prepares to go after new signings on all fronts.
With a deal supposedly already wrapped up for Southampton’s Adam Lallana the Kop boss has turned his attention to Barcelona’s Chilean international striker Alexis Sanchez following complaints that he does not get enough playing time at Barcelona.
Sanchez joined Barcelona from Udinese in 2011 for £25 million and a wage of £90,000 per-week, and while Rodgers would like to get a deal done early it might have to wait until after the World Cup.
The 25-year-old can play as either a winger or striker and was responsible for both goals when Chile beat England 2-0 during a friendly at Wembley back in November.
Sanchez also scored an amazing goal for Barcelona last night in what people called the La Liga final, the last match of the season to decide between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid to see who would be champions. The match finished 1-1 and was enough to give the title to Atletico.
You can watch the Sanchez goal in the video below.
