It would appear as if Liverpool is preparing to line-up Raheem Sterling’s replacement by going after Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev.

And while many people will not have heard about the seven-time capped Russian international due to him playing for the Spanish giants B team, the 24-year-old has been with the club progressing up through their academy since he was 11-years-old.

According the Spanish sports newspaper AS Cheryshev’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu appears to be bleak after the club decided to send him out on loan to Sevilla and Villarreal in back-to-back seasons.

The beauty for Liverpool is the fact he would probably jump at the chance to move to Anfield and would cost the Merseyside club between £10 and £11 million.

Have a look at him in action for Villarreal below and see what you think.

Liverpool are also involved in talks to bring hot-shot Villarreal striker Luciano Vietto to Anfield as well this summer, and we think if they can get him and Cheryshev it could be a good piece of business.
