Liverpool finally set to sign quality Striker in Ex-United and City Star

Liverpool has according to reports been told they are free to go after Juventus striker Carlos Tevez following tonight’s Champions League final in Berlin.

The Reds have been told the Argentinian will play his last game for the Turin giants against Barcelona this evening and that the now 31-year-old striker is looking for a new challenge after a successful spell in Serie A.

The emphasis is now on Liverpool to convince Tevez to move to Merseyside despite him having already lived in the region while playing for Manchester United and Manchester City.

Looking at the deal as an outsider it does not seem like a Brendan Rodgers signing, as all the players he generally target are 25-year-old and younger making us here at Soccer Transfers prefer to see the club target a rising star such as Villarreal’s 21-year-old Luciano Vietto rather than a player who will be good for a few seasons.

Saying this though things would have been a lot different for the Reds last season had they signed Tevez as a replacement for Luis Suarez, and we think Rodgers knows this and want to make amends by trying to sign the Argentinian international now.
Tevez just like Suarez keeps defenders busy by allowing other players to find the room that leads to more goals, so with this in mind Tevez could very well be the answer to Liverpool’s problems.
