Liverpool fans FURIOUS over Manchester United’s plans to HIJACK Reds target

Already assuming it was a done deal Liverpool fans now have to get used to the fact that Manchester City and England midfielder James Milner is now having second thoughts about joining the Merseyside club fearing that manager Brendan Rodgers could be facing the sack along with all the promises the Northern Irishman made the 29-year-old regarding playing time at Anfield.

Milner would have been ideal for Liverpool as Steven Gerrard’s replacement, but now may be considering a move to Old Trafford after the Sunday People newspaper claimed that Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward had approached the player’s representatives to try and iron out a summer move to the Red side of Manchester.

Milner is a free agent this summer and fits the mould as the type of player LVG wants being able to play as either an attacking or defensive midfielder and also has the experience to help guide the Red Devils to the Premiership title.
