Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan are ready to offer Liverpool £7 million for holding midfielder Lucas Leiva, and manager Brendan Rodgers is thinking about it despite the Brazilian fighting his way back into the team.

The Northern Irishman faces changes in midfield knowing that Steven Gerrard will be leaving in the summer and with the Reds hoping to tie star player Raheem Sterling down to a new contract may just sacrifice the 28-year-old Leiva and use the money from the sale to strengthen in other areas.
