Yevhen Konoplyanka is edging closer to a move to Liverpool with the Dnipro winger claiming that he is excited by the prospect of joining Liverpool.

“I’m excited about it and soon everyone will know where I will play,” Konoplyanka is quoted in the Daily Star.

“Is it very serious with Liverpool? I am shocked myself at how serious it is. I think in the near future everything will become clear.”

There is plenty of encouraging news coming out of the Ukraine this morning for Liverpool fans as the Reds are on the verge of making their first winter signing, but not to let the air out of the balloon it has also been said that there are according to one agent:

“Some of the complications are unbelievable”.

What is also incredible is that Konoplyanka is already earning an impressive £100,000 per-week and for Liverpool to take on that would mean a four and a half year contract would take the outlay to £40 million plus whatever transfer fee is agreed.

Add to that the fact Dnipro’s owner is the second richest man in the Ukraine who reportedly is on a mission to make the club one of Europe’s biggest and you can see there may be a reluctance to sell.

Liverpool fans have been let down once already this transfer season so just prepare yourself if a deal is not done in time.
