With former Dortmund trainer Jürgen Klopp looking almost certain to join Liverpool this week, Bundesliga expert Jan Aage Fjortoft believes that charismatic 48-year-old is the perfect fit for Liverpool.
He told talkSPORT: “What Liverpool will get from Klopp is an ambassador, a symbol. A club like Liverpool need a manager who sells Liverpool, who is clear in his message.
“He is an amazing human being. He touches everybody, he hugs everybody, he has this passion around him.
“He wouldn’t have gone to a club who he didn’t like – he is that kind of guy. When he went to Dortmund he said he wanted to build up the club and he built them up, taking them all the way to the Champions League final.
“Liverpool will love him. English football will love him. You will have a Mourinho type of guy, just a nice one!”
