As Manchester United get ready to welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford for the second leg of their Europa Cup tie the team knows they must come out of the gate full force if they are to have any chance of overturning the 2-0 loss at Anfield just a short week ago.

Unlike United who played a tough 1-1 draw against West Ham on Sunday at Old Trafford, Liverpool have had a full week off to rest from last Thursdays win, and with Jürgen Klopp in charge of the team, you know they will not be sitting back to defend their two goal lead.

Should Liverpool score the first goal it could spell disaster for United, as the Red Devils would then need to score four goals in order to go through to the next round.

Here is how we would set up for tonight’s match, knowing that we must dominate midfield to have any chance of success.

Bastian Schweinsteiger has to start against Liverpool given the way the German impacted the match when he came on as a substitute against West Ham.

You could see a noticeably way in which the team not only started to move the ball around, but it also made them look more likely to score, a quality you definitely need to have if you expect to overcome a two goal deficit.

Up front we would be tempted to give youngster Marcus Rashford a rest following his step up to the senior stage, a move that has seen the youngster start in the clubs last six games.

We would also bring Spanish playmaker Juan Mata back into the mix, not only for his good record against Liverpool, but the fact he should be well rested after being suspended for the match against West Ham.

This means that Memphis Depay and Jesse Lingard up front on either side of Anthony Martial.

As for a result, United has a chance should they get on the scoreboard first, but if Liverpool are the first team to score, the game is effectively over.
