Liverpool travels to Vicarage Road on Sunday to take on one of the deadliest attacking pairs in the Premier League in captain Troy Deeney and Nigerian international Idion Ighalo who between them account for 15 of Watford’s 18 league goals so far this season proving there is still plenty of reason to set the team up with two old fashion strikers.

With James Milner injured it will be down to the returning Lucas, and in front of him Emre Can and captain Jordan Henderson to stop the Hornets midfield from getting the ball trough to Deeney or Ighalo.

With Mamadou Sakho ready to return to the team we will play the tough Frenchman alongside Martin Skrtel allowing Dejan Lovren to recover from the injury he picked up during the 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion last weekend at home.

On either wing at the back it will be the usual Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno who along with the two centre-backs will be hoping Simon Mignolet keep a clean sheet. The Belgium international looked hesitant at times during the West Brom match, and needs to do more if he hopes to still be the clubs No.1 come the end of January.

Coutinho and Lallana have to both start for the Liverpool attack, and rather than make a decision between Benteke and Origi we will stick with the setup that brought success at Chelsea and Manchester City and play Roberto Firmino as the lone striker.

As team around them start to stumble Liverpool needs all three points today to show their top-four intent.
