LINE-UP: Liverpool team to play Newcastle United

Fresh on the back of the Southampton win it is feeling good to be a Liverpool fan once more and with Daniel Sturridge now back along with Jordan Henderson picking out starting XI has got that bit more difficult, not only for us but for manager Jürgen Klopp when it comes to who you want to play up front following the latest goal fest.

Simon Mignolet will get his place back in goal after the midweek rest as will Nathaniel Clyne returning for Connor Randal at right-back while Alberto Moreno resumes his now usual role wide left. Centre of the defence will be Martin Skrtel and the much improved Dejan Lovren with the Croatian finally looking as though he has settled into the team.

With Emre Can suspended for the trip to Saint James Park we expect to see James Milner in a holding role along with Lucas while Joe Allen also deserves a place in the team following his performance against the Saints but will have to be content with a place on the bench for what we think will be a very attack minded set up.

Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho is still nursing a hamstring strain, but with his countryman Roberto Firmino improving with each game Liverpool should be fine not having their star player available.

Lallana worked his socks off against Southampton, but is exactly the type of workhorse player manager Jürgen Klopp likes so will get the start over Ibe, but taken off for the youngster later in the game no matter the result knowing that Lallana can be rested for the midweek game against Swiss side Sion.

Upfront for the Reds it has to be Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi with us of the opinion that Sturridge still wants to prove he is the clubs No.1 striker, and us of the opinion how do you drop a player after he scored a hat-trick as was the case with the Belgium youngster.

Meanwhile Christian Benteke is on the bench along with Jordan Henderson, so expect them to make an appearance around the 70 minute mark should Liverpool be in the lead.

All but one result went Liverpool’s way yesterday, so Klopp will know that three points put Liverpool in with a shot of a Champions League place.
