LINE-UP: Liverpool team to play Leicester City

Following last Sunday’s nightmare trip to Vicarage Road where Liverpool suffered a humiliating 3-0 loss at the hands of a rampant Watford, Reds boss Jürgen Klopp with be hoping to shock the world with a convincing home win against league leaders Leicester City.

The Foxes have proved to be one of this seasons surprise teams and possess a real threat going forward in the form of Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy.

Hungarian goalkeeper Adam Bogdan will be hoping to put the Vicarage Road nightmare behind him if called upon to start, but if Belgium Simon Mignolet is available, Bogdan can watch the game from the safety of the bench.

Liverpool are of course without Martin Skrtel who is side-lined for the next six weeks, which should also have Klopp thinking about bringing in a new centre-half during January or next summer to provide added cover.

Without the Slovakian, Dejan Lovren gets the start if fit, and if not its veteran Kolo Toure who gets the nod, and despite Lucas’s cameo there last week we doubt the defensive midfielder will be called upon to fill the centre-back role again anytime soon.

Brazilian Lucas therefore moves back into midfield where he will play alongside Jordan Henderson and Emre Can assuming James Milner is still injured.

Up front we think Klopp will keep Origi given his performance against Watford, and play the youngster alongside Benteke who really needs to step up or risk being sold, while Philippe Coutinho plays in behind the two strikers.

Depending on the score line expect to see Jordan Ibe and Allan Lallana make second half appearances.

While we hope Liverpool will come out on top, we are sure that there will be goals in this match which is why we are backing both teams to score at odds of 8/13 with Bet365.
