LINE-UP: Arsenal team to play Bayern Munich

Arsenal will play Bayern Munich tonight in the Allianz Arsenal knowing that they need a draw in order to keep their Champions League destiny in their own hands. And while traveling supporters and those watching at home will be following closely what is happening at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens where the other two members of Group F, Olympiacos and Dinamo Zagreb face off with Arsenal still to play the Greeks away and the Croatians at home.

The Gunners travel to Bavaria in the midst of an injury crisis missing Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott with all three not expected to return until after the international break, and as if that was now not enough to worry about we have learnt that Spaniard Hector Bellerin has been ruled out with a groin strain that will see 30-year-old Mathieu Debuchy come in as right-back.

Rather that start Joel Campbell out on the right wing, we feel that Wenger will prefer a more defensive looking side and will bring in Kieran Gibbs to play in front of Nacho Monreal, moving Alexis to play on the right flank.

Despite never having lost in Bayern Munich’s new stadium we have to feel that Arsenal must play their socks off if they are to avoid defeat, and while anyone would be hard pressed to back the Gunners to win, you can bet the draw at the decent odds of 4/1 with BET365.

Bayern’s Chilean international midfielder had some words of warning for arsenal ahead of the match saying: “We will score from our chances this time, and keep the three points.

“On Wednesday, we’ll show Arsenal the real FC Bayern.”
