Lille star Aurelien Chedjou is set to snub interest from Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool to join Valencia this summer.

According to reports in France, the Cameroon international, who is on the radar of the Premier League trio, wants to make the switch to Spain.

The 27-year-old has become one of the most wanted defenders in Ligue 1 after his excellent form for the 2011 champions.

Earlier this month he intimated he is ready to call time on his six-year spell at Lille – and looked to have a choice of clubs to join next.

And it has now been suggested that he has his heart set on joining Valencia, who are hoping to finalise a deal with the French club for his signature.

But the move for Chedjou could cast doubt over the future of Arsenal target Adil Rami.

It is unclear whether Valencia want to land Chedjou in order to pair him with his former Lille team-mate – or whether they see him as a direct replacement for the in-demand Rami.
