LGV has a plan to stop Mourinho getting his job at Manchester United

Embattled Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has a plan to stop Jose Mourinho from taking his job at Old Trafford, and it involves the simple task of the Red Devils qualifying for next seasons Champions League.

Currently United is off the pace sitting six points behind North West neighbours Manchester City who are currently fourth in the table languishing in the last Champions League qualifying spot.

Due to a poor run of form in December and a style of possession based football that was not appealing to the fans, van Gaal was on the brink of being fired and is now despite better results of late being tipped to be replaced by former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho at the end of the season.

British daily tabloid newspaper the Sun however claims that the 64-year-old Dutchman has not given up and thinks should he be able to steer United to a fourth place finish that it will be enough to save his job, and allow him to see out the remaining year on his contract.

Add to this reports that the Old Trafford dressing room is split over the arrival of the “Special One” and it might not be too late for van Gaal to keep his job.
