New Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp believes he may have discovered Liverpool’s problem during the 1-1 draw with Southampton on Sunday.

The German looked on after a late Saints goal robbed him of his first win in charge of the Merseyside giants as the Reds appeared to be cruising to victory before Sadio Mane equalised on 86 minutes after Liverpool failed to deal with a Southampton free-kick.

Watching on Klopp believes that his players lost faith that they could find another goal in the remaining minutes.

“What I saw after their goal was maybe the problem. We had nine or ten minutes to play, there wasn’t any belief anymore in the eyes,” Klopp said.

“Nobody was able to push or say something positive.

“The fans were very disappointed too in this moment.

“We are not calm enough. We have to accept things happen you don’t like in a football game, you have to remain cool.”
