Former Borussia Dortmund manager Jürgen Klopp has reportedly told friends that he is interested in moving to Anfield this summer should Liverpool’s owners the Fenway Sports group decide to replace Brendan Rodgers.

Klopp will take part in his last game for Dortmund this weekend when they take on Wolfsburg in the German cup final, and according to reports he had given up on the idea of taking a six month sabbatical and is ready to get back to work as soon as possible.

This decision by the 47-year-old sends a signal to the Reds owners in Boston and will now only increase the pressure on Brendan Rodgers after a disappointing season in which Liverpool finished sixth in the table.
