Some interesting news coming out of Italy today with Tuttosport claiming that Italian champions Juventus are plotting a £29 million bid for Arsenal World Cup winner Mesut Ozil.

The Giants of Serie A have plenty of cash at their disposal following the departure of Carlos Tevez with the possibility of more money to come should they sell Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal, and Fernando Llorente.

Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42.5 million in 2013, and with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger ready to deploy the German as a true No.10, it is hard to imagine that he would be sold this summer and especially so for the amount of money the Turin based club is offering.

Arsenal, as Wenger has pointed out is no longer a selling club, and with all the speculation that he may sign either Gonzalo Higuain or Karim Benzema a possibility, Juventus may be better off worrying about meeting the Gunners in the Champions League rather than making a poultry offer for a player who is worth double their valuation.
