It would appear as though new Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp will take on Tottenham this weekend without right-hand man Zeljko Buvac due to a red-tape hold up.

Buvac has been unable to join Klopp on Merseyside to help the German prepare for Spurs due to immigration red-tape, that is holding up the Bosnian’s work permit.

The 48-year-old former Borussia Dortmund manager has known Buvac since they were teammates at FSV Mainz 05 in the early 90’s and joined Klopp at Borussia Dortmund as his assistant coach.

So strong is the relationship between Klopp and his No.2, the big German refers to Buvac as his “brain”.

Meanwhile Klopp’s other assistant Peter Krawietz, has been taking training at Melwood with the Liverpool players who remained home during the international break.
