Following Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Everton at the weekend that still sees the Red Devils with the possibility of finishing fourth, all the pressure seems to have been lifted off of manager Louis van Gaal and his ability to remain in the job.

Some newspapers are even claiming that the Dutchman will be given £80 million for summer signings while others claim that the Glazer family does not want to see former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho calling the shots at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese manager is however still widely tipped to take over from LVG at the end of the season, and if there was some worry as to why he has been shying away from the spotlight of late it is because he is busy working on his transfer plans for the club according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Sky Sports and Guardian journalist Romano is convinced that the deal is done and insists that he’s already looking to secure deal that will bring quality players to the Theatre of Dreams.

When he was asked when would Manchester United announce that Jose Mourinho would be their new manager Romano suggested they ask the Red Devils press office that question adding:

‘Mou will be new Man United manager. Don’t worry.

‘He’s already working on transfers.’
