Well we all know the story of how Sir Alex Ferguson let French star Paul Pogba walk out of Old Trafford for nothing back in 2012, and now the 22-year-old who performed brilliantly in last night’s Champions League semi-final for Juventus is set for not only the final against Barcelona in Berlin, but a massive pay day when Juventus sell him the summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £70 million.

Apparently as a 19-year-old Pogba did not fit in with Fergusons plans for the team, with Sky Sports football pundit Jamie Carragher saying that the former Red Devils boss should not be criticised for letting him leave.

Carragher said: “It’s difficult to question Sir Alex Ferguson in terms of bringing young players through – he was one of the masters at it.

“If he felt it was a wages problem for a young player maybe getting too big for his boots and basically wanting first-team money when he’s still a reserve-team player… that’s the jist of it I think.”
