In what would be a sensational move, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is being lined up by Liverpool as a possible replacement for Steven Gerrard according to the Liverpool Echo.
Currently Wilshere is out injured not having played a game since the Gunners defeat at the hands of Manchester United back in November.
Yet despite the 23-year-olds persistent struggles with injuries Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to take a chance on the Arsenal midfielder even though Arsenal will not let him leave for less than £25 million.
Wilshere was once thought of as one of England’s brightest talents, but following his latest injury he may now find it difficult to get back into Arsene Wenger’s first XI.
A deal between rival clubs does not happen all that often, and whether or not Arsenal will let him go to Liverpool remains to be seen.
