Italian Striker wants to play for Liverpool

On loan at Sunderland, Liverpool striker Fabio Borini hopes to be able to return to Anfield next season and play for the Reds.
Borini was allowed to join Sunderland on a season long loan after a difficult start at Anfield missing most of his first season through injuries, but after an impressive display in which he played a vital part in keeping the Black Cats up Borini hopes he can return to Anfield.
Very much of course depends on Liverpool’s plan for next season, but after qualifying for the Champions League the club know they must increase the size of the squad.
Sky Sports is reporting that the former Roma player when discussing his future with the Daily Mirror said: “Liverpool need a bigger squad because you can’t play four competitions with the same 11 players, but it is now down to the Liverpool point of view and their sporting director. It is not down to my words.
“It depends on what Liverpool says. I cannot say anything definite now because anything is possible. There is a World Cup coming up so a lot depends on the national team and whether I am selected, then we will see what is happening.”
When talking about his season on Wearside and the nine goals he scored the Italian said: “It has been a great season, I’ve had 39 appearances after a year when I was injured.
“It was a hard season and the hardest I’ve ever had because we have been constantly fighting, but this builds your character.
“It makes you a lot stronger. You learn how to suffer and how to get out of hard situations and that builds you and gets you ready for anything.
“I have always thought I was a Premier League player. Liverpool wouldn’t have bought me otherwise. The injuries I could not control. This season I was injury free and I’ve showed I can play.”
Have a look at his winning goal against Newcastle in the local derby below it’s a cracker!!!
