Italian Champions Juventus HIJACK Liverpool Goalkeeper Bid

Liverpool will now have to look elsewhere this summer for a new goalkeeper after having seen their best efforts to sign Fiorentina shot-stopper Norberto Neto hijacked by Italian champions Juventus.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers had spoken to the 25-year-old Brazilian about a move to Anfield after having learnt that he is out of contract at the end of the season, but has now been forced to look elsewhere after being informed that Neto will move to Turin.

The Liverpool boss is still eager to find a keeper to provide competition for Liverpool number one Simon Mignolet despite the Belgium’s return to form after having been dropped in December.

Liverpool current number two Brad Jones is out of contract this summer and is expected to move on with Liverpool now having sent scouts to watch Club Bruge goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.
